Pre-Consultation Guide
This is an important decision and rarely performed ritual to showcase a special moment in your families life. Its an investment of time, money, and effort all of which pale in comparison to losing out on that timeless memory. I believe the best results occur when values can be communicated between the wants and needs of the client and the vision and skill of the photographer. Before moving on, I want to discover your needs and desires in order to customize the photoshoot in order to produce an image that represents your vision and values.
Here are a few questions that should help bring things into focus:
What is this photograph going to be used for?

A showcase piece or fine wall art (print or canvas)

What time of day for the Photoshoot?

When scheduling your session with younger children pay careful attention to their daily schedule (nap time/feeding time) and try to work within the best time frame.

Breaks , rest periods, and patience will be implemented to maintain happy baby status.
What is the Location of the Photoshoot?

I am an on location photographer, that means no studio work. I am central to Walnut Creek, Alamo, Danville, and San Ramon (travel fees applied outside of these boundaries)

The exact location will be narrowed down in the consultation stage

In home sessions available as this setting is most the most comfortable for a newborn/ small child, works great for formal group shots, and lends itself to natural spontaneous shots.

If multiple locations are desired we can start in home and travel to local parks/city features or venture into the foothills
What to Wear?
Here are some tips to simply your choices when selecting an outfit/outfits for the photoshoot

Neutral colors will remain timeless and fashionable for years to come.
Things to Avoid

logos, writing, characters, distracting patterns, busy stripes, numerous solid colors

It's usually best for the entire groups not to match, unless you are seeking a particular look.
For babies and kids

Loose clothing is to be avoided and slightly snug will photograph well.

Make sure to try the clothing choices prior to session to make sure everything fits well.
For families

No need to match, but you should consider colors that complement each other.

Choose 2-4 colors some neutral some brighter and mix and match
